The Eastern Tavern was dreamed up, written, directed and played to exhaustion by one person, with a few friends at the table.
The road is paved with old stories that belong to everyone: the folklore of Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Russia, Germany, Britain, Ireland and China, and the old tales of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Robin Hood, Koschei the Deathless, the Firebird, the Golem of Prague, the White Snake and Journey to the West. Any mistakes in the telling are ours.
To the friends who lent their faces to the heroes at the Master’s table, to everyone who played the first broken versions and said so, and to you, for taking a seat.
